Brielle’s Diary Update

Dear Family and Friends,

The following  is a creative writing paper that Brielle wrote for one of her home-school projects.

What's Better Than...... ?

What's better than walking my dog Faith

at home or at the beach at sunset?

What's better than riding bikes at the park

with Kylin and Jaden?

What's better than reading my favorite book

on a rainy day, curled up on the couch

covered up in my blanket-quilt?

What's better than galloping Cheyenne

on the mountain trails behind my house?

What's better than the morning chirping

from my parrot Hope?

What's better than playing with my cousins,

having a party, or a play-date with my friends?

Family...... Faith....... Prayers....

.... Remission .....

We have been praising God for His healing of Brielle from her cancer.  We ask for your continued prayers that her cancer will remain in "Remission"!

Jim and Lisa and Brielle and her sisters have been so thankful for a "Normal" life the past couple of months, and thank so many of you for your prayers on her behalf.  Brielle is scheduled to go to J.H. Ranch with her 6th grade classmates on May 10th for 1 week, and on May 20th she will have her first 3-month CT scans.... please pray that her body remains strong and cancel free.  God bless you.

Brielle was able to participate in the 5k run/walk at the Friends Church in Yorba Linda a few weeks ago.  Her strength is remarkable.  The following is an excerpt from an email from a friend.....

Hi It’s Connie again.  Lisa had asked my daughter, Amanda, and I to walk the 5k with Brielle last Sunday.  I had been feeling a little under the weather but said yes because I was not going to pass up a chance to see Brielle accomplish something so great.  Here’s the kicker…I figured she would just walk a lot of the time so I assumed the walk would be easy on me.  Boy was I wrong!  She started off running and would have kept going had Lisa not made her slow down. She was amazing!  I was fighting back tears much of the time watching as she pushed through with much strength and at the end of the walk/run she was barely winded!  I stand in awe of our Savior who has brought this precious child so far.
